What makes Elevate 360 Physical Therapy different from other clinics?

When you work with Dr. Abby or Dr. Nicole, you get one on one care during your entire session. We only work with one client at a time allowing us to give you the highest quality treatment. It is important to us that you feel heard and supported all along your journey and we work together with you to make your treatment plan. This allows us to empower you and give you the strategies and tools to reach your goals.

Do I need a referral from a doctor to be seen?

No. Missouri is a direct-access state for physical therapy, meaning you do not need a doctor referral to be seen. If your treatment plan lasts longer than 30 days the state law requires an order from a physician to be obtained at that time. For wellness visits, no prescription is needed.

How long are the visits?

Each visit is approximately 1 hour. The visit will be one on one with your therapist where you will work together to accomplish your goals. You deserve the best and we value your time!

Will I be given exercises or recommendations for at home?

Yes, a lot of progress can be seen from 1 visit to the next and this is due to consistency at home. We believe that giving you the tools to adjust, modify and change movement habits throughout your daily life is important to your overall progress.

I have Medicare. Can you work with me?

Elevate 360 Physical Therapy is not a Medicare provider and we do not provide physical therapy services for those individuals with Medicare. We can provide you with a wellness based program, but that is not considered medical treatment and would be a fee for service visit.

What is pelvic floor physical therapy?

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy is a proven treatment for pelvic pain, discomfort, or change in the muscles of your pelvic region. Women’s health and pelvic physical therapy involves a detailed  examination of the pelvic, hip, lumbar, and lower extremity region in order to prevent, identify, and correct dysfunction that leads to pain. The pelvic floor muscles form the base of your pelvis. These muscles control urination, bowel movements, sexual function, and organ support. The pelvic floor muscles are an important piece of your core which give our back, SI joint, and hips stability.

Pelvic floor physical therapists have advanced and specialized training beyond entry level physical therapy school to treat these types of issues.

Is pelvic floor therapy just “Kegels"?

It is NOT “just kegels”. In fact, most women are doing kegel’s inappropriately. We need your pelvic floor to be able to both lengthen and contract, and be well coordinated. A pelvic floor physical therapist can complete a thorough examination and develop an individualized plan for you, optimizing YOUR pelvic floor. This can include an internal pelvic floor examination if necessary.
